The Dell PowerVault ME4084 is a flexible storage array than can be deployed in either DAS or SAN mode. It has dual redundant controllers which can be configured for 16GB FC or 10Gb iSCSI ( SFP+ ) or a combination of the two.

The array has 84 x 2.5" hot swap drive bays and can accommodate either SAS or SAS SSD hard drives.

Expansion is by adding ME412 (12 x 3.5"), ME424 (24 x 2.5") or ME484 JBOD (84 x 3.5") expansion arrays.
