HP StorageWorks MDS 600 DAS Storage Array

With support for up to 70 large form factor SATA or SAS drives in a single 5U chassis, the HP MDS600 is a great choice for those looking for an affordable direct attached scale out storage solution. The MDS600 can be directly attached to up to two HP DL and ML servers with your choice of HP Smart Array P212, P411, P812 or P822 controller, or to HP blade servers with HP Smart Array P700m, P711m, or P721m controllers through SAS switches installed in the C7000 or C3000 blade enclosure. Each blade enclosure can support up to six MDS600 enclosures providing loads of storage capacity for blade environments. The MDS600 can scale to up to 280TB in either 7200 RPM SATA or near-line SAS, or up to 42TB in 15K SAS per enclosure. When connected with a node server, the MDS600 can also be used as a large repository for network storage.
