Dell PowerVault MD1200 DAS Storage Arrays

The Dell PowerVault MD1200 direct attached storage enclosure is the next generation 6Gb/s option for users looking to support growing e-mail, backup to disk, video streaming and other capacity intensive applications. With support for both high performance SAS and high-capacity economical SATA drives, the MD1200 is an excellent choice for tiered storage. The PowerVault MD1200 is also highly scalable, with capacity of up to 48TB per enclosure, and the ability to daisy chain up to 8 enclosures per PERC H800 (4 enclosures per port, single path) or up to 4 enclosures per PERC H800 with redundancy for increased fault tolerance (4 enclosures connected to both ports via redundant path cabling). The MD1200 is also capable of splitting between 2 hosts, providing storage economy for smaller environments.

    • Expansion Connectivity: 1 SAS (SFF 8088) OUT connector for expansion to an additional enclosure
    • Service Management: 1 6-pin UART mini-DIN connector (for factory use only)
