Aventis Systems Hosts Southern Polytechnic State University Student Facility Tour

ATLANTA — November 19, 2014 — Aventis Systems, Inc. hosted students from Southern Polytechnic State University (SPSU) for a facility tour and fun IT hardware contest on Saturday, November 15. Students in attendance included members of the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP).

Students received a behind-the-scenes look into the hardware refurbishing process including the rigorous diagnostic, testing, and shipping of rebuilt, cleaned systems. After touring Aventis Systems' facility, students participated in a doomsday-style, server refresh contest.

"Aventis Systems continues to shine as an industry connection for the SPSU AITP Student Chapter. Starting off in the summer of 2014 by speaking with the students, continuing to support our events on campus and off, and now with the most recent tour of their facility and Doomsday IT Contest!" said Dawn Tatum, Lecturer of Information Technology at SPSU. "From an instructor's point of view there is nothing more rewarding than seeing students engaged and having a blast while they learn and apply their skills."

"Southern Polytechnic is very important to our company as we have alumni and current students employed with us, myself included," stated Hesam Lamei, President and Founder of Aventis Systems. "We opened our doors to these students because we want to encourage students interested in IT hardware to pursue the industry and learn more about the computer hardware refurbishing process."
