Includes limited features for one (1) operating system environment, running on servers with up to two (2) processors. Licensing is applied per server. No additional CALs are necessary, however systems are limited to 25 users total.
  • Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard: For physical or minimally virtualized environments. Includes all features for two (2) virtual operating system environments (OSE) and a Processor + CAL licensing model.* (Recommended)
  • Windows Server 2012 R2 Datacenter: For highly virtualized datacenter and cloud environments. Best value for customers planning to deploy 12 or more virtual instances.
