Dell PowerEdge 1955 with Blades
The Dell PowerEdge 1955 blade server system is a perfect solution for customers interested in consolidating general purpose servers or their development and test environment. A total of ten 1955 blade servers fit in a 7U chassis. A shared infrastructure of fans, power supplies, and I/O modules simplifies management and improves power efficiency. The PowerEdge 1955 blade system is not compatible with M-Series blade servers, enclosures, or I/O modules.
Each Dell 1995 server blade supports a total of two Intel 5000, 5100, or 5300 series processors for up to four cores and 8MB of cache per CPU. Eight DIMM slots per blade support up to 64GB DDR2 memory running at 667MHz. SAS or SATA hard drives, as well as solid state drives are supported for up to 4TB of storage per blade.
